The leader of Bournemouth Council has defended the authority's partnership with support services group, Mouchel, following the surprise resignation of the firm's chief executive.

Shares in the local government contractor fell by more than 40% last Thursday after Richard Cuthbert announced he had resigned from Mouchel, with immediate effect.
