Ministers should bring back the model of public service agreements (PSA) introduced under the previous Labour Government, an expert has urged.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer will today detail a handful of ‘ambitious but achievable milestones' to refocus his Government around fewer core objectives, asking voters to judge him on his success in achieving them – more than 25 years after Labour published 30 cross-government priorities underpinned by 153 measures when it introduced PSAs as part of its 1998 Spending Review.
