The Department of Health has announced a further review into care standards, as the Care Quality Commission is expected to deliver its verdict on a private home operator.

The Whitehall department has announced that the chief executive of charity Carers UK Imelda Redmond, will look at how homes can drive up standards of care. A spokesman for the Department of Health said her report was one of a number of reviews, which will feed into the forthcoming Care and Support White Paper.
