Richmondshire DC councillors have appointed a new managing director, after ending the authority's sharing agreement with Hambleton DC.

Deputy chief executive, Tony Clark, is to take over as Richmondshire's managing director, following Hambleton's decision to send shared chief executive, Peter Simpson, on gardening leave with no consultation with Richmondshire.
