Five days in August last year saw the breakdown of public order in communities across the country as rioters and looters took to the streets. The riot panel, set up by the Government to look into the causes of the disturbances, released their final report this week. Darra Singh explained his thoughts to Heather Jameson.

Last august, the country was rocked over five days when riots broke out in London, then spread across the country. As the Government committed itself to the notion of Big Society, the national showed just how quickly we could face the breakdown of society.
