Private healthcare specialist, Bupa, has called for the ring-fencing of local authority funding for adult social care in order to prevent a ‘bed-blocking crisis'.

Bupa published a report last week, which predicted almost 100,000 care home beds would disappear over the next decade, if adult social care budgets were not ring-fenced.
