Rochdale 'cannot guarantee children's safety'

The leader of Rochdale MBC warns that vulnerable children should not be sent to care homes in his borough due to safety concerns.

The leader of Rochdale MBC has warned that vulnerable children should no longer be sent to care homes in his borough because their safety cannot be guaranteed.

Speaking to Radio 4's The Report programme, Cllr Colin Lambert said the local authority has no say about what happens to children sent by other councils to the 41 homes in the borough.
