Rochdale MBC has demanded an urgent meeting with energy firm E.ON over concerns with its ‘hugely disappointing' £117m PFI street lighting contract.
Members backed a motion put forward by Rochdale's cabinet member for finance, Cllr Allen Brett, at a full council meeting on 15 April, instructing the chief executive, Steve Rumblelow, to summon the company's head of street lighting to an urgent meeting with the local authority over the 25-year contract.
