The chief executive of Cheshire East Council has intervened in a row over local authority staff helping leader Cllr Michael Jones update his personal Twitter account.

The chief executive of Cheshire East Council has intervened in a row over local authority staff helping leader Cllr Michael Jones update his personal Twitter account.

It was revealed last week that Cllr Jones had asked staff to write ‘tweets' for his personal account, breaching rules about the political impartiality of council staff.
