Director of the New Local Government Network, Adam Lent, talks to Ann McGauran about the impact made by the think-tank during his three years of leadership and the next steps for empowering communities.

The General Election may have delivered Prime Minister Boris Johnson a massive majority, but he is a worried man, according to director of the New Local Government Network (NLGN) Adam Lent. He took on the leadership of the network just over three years ago.

He tells The MJ: ‘Boris Johnson has promised a lot, either tacitly or overtly, to those parts of the country that came behind him. He's not going to deliver through a little bit of infrastructure spend and supposedly "getting Brexit done".'
