Rosssendale BC has appointed Stuart Sugarman as its new chief executive.

Mr Sugarman, who previously worked as a solicitor at West Berkshire and as deputy director of resources at Oadby and Wigston BC, has served at Rossendale for five years and replaces Helen Lockwood in the top role.

Immediately prior to joining Rossendale, Mr Sugarman worked for a  national law firm as senior associate solicitor heading up their public law team in the East Midlands.
