Rother DC has confirmed that the post of chief executive, currently held by Derek Stevens, is to be deleted and nine senior management positions will be reduced to six.

Mr Stevens, who has served the council for over 40 years, will finalise his departure date shortly. His post will be replaced by two executive directors. They will be the council's current director of services Tony Leonard and its present director of resources Malcolm Johnston.
