Local government minister, Andrew Stunell, has been criticised for allegedly ‘doubling' the estimated financial reserves at Lambeth LBC, in a parliamentary statement last week.

Sources at the Labour-led council urged Mr Stunell, the most senior Liberal Democrat at the DCLG, to publicly correct his claim that Lambeth was sitting on reserves of around £93m.
