Large areas of a Suffolk holiday resort have been covered by a public drinking ban, as the council takes steps to tackle anti-social behaviour.
Suffolk Coastal DC has backed an initiative by Felixstowe Town Council in a move aimed at improving the quality of life of local residents and visitors. Police have been given the power to confiscate alcohol from anyone behaving in a manner deemed anti-social. Rowdy drinkers face a fine up to £500 if they refuse to co-operate.
