Royal Borough leader is new Tory top man at ALG

The new leader of the Conservative group at the Association of London Government (ALG) is Cllr Merrick Cockell, the leader at Kensington and Chelsea RLBC.

It is predicted that Cllr Cockell will also take over as chair of the ALG at the AGM on 13 June, with the Conservatives the largest group following the local elections. Cllr Cockell said under his control the ALG would move towards an executive with individual portfolio holders and the focus on Londoner's needs would be greater.
