RSP fails to reflect 40% cut in grants say councils

Town halls have attacked the Government’s revenue spending power (RSP) calculation for failing to reflect the 40% cut in grant in the three years to 2015/16.

Town halls have attacked the Government's revenue spending power (RSP) calculation for failing to reflect the 40% cut in grant in the three years to 2015/16.

The Local Government Association (LGA) criticised RSP for including resources going to frontline healthcare as part of the Better Care Fund as it called for it to fully reflect the resources at councils' disposal.
