The Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) has launched a campaign to gain support for including the proposed national planning policy framework in legislation.

As the Localism Bill reaches the reports stage this month, the RTPI has stepped up its lobbying efforts. Its president, Richard Summers, said including the framework in the Bill would ‘greatly strengthen' the effectiveness of national planning policy.
