Local authorities could end up footing the bill for carers’ pensions, under new guidelines, which have come in this month.

Local authorities could end up footing the bill for carers' pensions, under new guidelines, which have come in this month.

The new pension rules came into effect on 1 June and mean that any carers who are age 22 and over and paid more than £833 a month (equivalent to more than £10,000 a year), must join the Government's auto-enrolment pension scheme.
