Ryder's winning form

Peter Ryder has been elected as the Society of Information Technology Management's (SOCITM) new president.

Mr Ryder, who manages the e-innovations programme at Preston City Council has been an active member of the society since it was formed in 1986. He has worked in local government since leaving school. Mr Ryder started his career in London, before moving to Wyre BC  in 1983, and then to Preston in 1985. Mr Ryder is also the society's first president from the North West.
