Sandwell MBC has confirmed Jan Britton as its new chief executive. Mr Britton was appointed to the job on an interim basis last September.

Before joining Sandwell as head of environment services in 2006, he was employed by Buckinghamshire CC, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, Colchester BC, and Barking and Dagenham LBC.
