Scots council in doghouse

West Dunbartonshire Council faces the threat of Scottish Executive intervention after a damning report from Audit Scotland.

The Best value audit report claimed there was a culture of bullying, low staff morale, poor council tax collection rates and a fragmented approach to managing the authority's assets. The council's leader, Cllr Andy White, claimed the report painted an ‘undeservedly poor picture' of West Dunbartonshire.
