North Lanarkshire Council, has announced plans to make brutal budget cuts of up to £105m over the next three years.

North Lanarkshire Council, one of Scotland's largest local authorities, has announced plans to make brutal budget cuts of up to £105m over the next three years that could see 1300 jobs axed.

The proposed cuts represent around 10% of the council's budget and are designed to deal North Lanarkshire's shortfall for the financial years 2013-16.
