Councillors in Aberdeenshire have voted to increase the amount of money a person can have before they pay the full cost of their social care.

Members of the social work and housing committee voted yesterday (1 September) to increase the threshold from £16,000 to £26,250 for non-residential charges, after claims the original limit was too low.
