Scottish councils to gain business rates powers

Scottish councils are to be given powers to cut business rates at the end of the month.

Scottish councils are to be given powers to cut business rates at the end of the month.

Deputy first minister John Swinney will also confirm that local authorities will be able to keep all the funds they raise in business rates once the reforms come into effect on 31 October.
