Audit Scotland has warned that councils need to focus on the long-term sustainability of public services as the financial cuts begin to bite.

In a new report published today, entitled Scotland's public finances – addressing the challenges, the watchdog said the public sector was facing increasing demands, while budgets continue to fall.
