Islington LBC has hired Lesley Seary as its new chief executive, after the authority decided against having a joint chief with Camden LBC.

Ms Seary, currently director for customer services at Lewisham LBC, is due to have the appointment confirmed at a full council meeting on 31 March. She will replace John Foster, who retires at the end of May.
