Good news from the Audit Commission that 90% of councils have met, head-on, the challenge of their difficult financial circumstances.

Hats off to local government. As ever, the sector has risen to the challenge in difficult circumstances, despite having to deal with front-loading, dropped incomes, and a battered and bruised local economy.
