Voluntary sector organisations have warned they face a new round of job losses and budget cuts because of the worsening financial outlook.

In a joint letter to chancellor George Osborne, leaders of 14 voluntary organisations have said: ‘Jobs are being at shed at twice the rate of the public sector. These losses will set back plans for the recovery of the UK economy and be felt most keenly in our disadvantaged communities.'
