A leading third sector organisation has welcomed comments by local government minister Don Foster that the Government remains committed to statutory best value.

Following a meeting this week with Mr Foster, the chief executive of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA), Joe Irvin, said he was ‘pleased' the Government was still committed to the guidance on how councils work with third sector groups, which was published in 2011.
