Third sector bosses have called on councils to take the lead on youth unemployment and simplify some of the training options available, after the Local Government Association (LGA) launched a new campaign.

Speaking to The MJ, Ralph Michell, director of strategy at the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO), welcomed the LGA's new ‘Hidden talents' campaign, which aims to give young people more of a say over how to tackle youth unemployment.
