Senior staff resignations leave Welsh councils facing shake-up

Two Welsh councils are facing top-level shake-ups following the resignation of two chief executives and a director. Philip McGreevy, chief executive of Flintshire CC, is leaving his post by ‘mutual agreement', while Bridgend CBC chief, Keri Lewis, has also decided to retire.

A Flintshire spokesman said: ‘Following discussions between the leader of the council and Philip McGreevy, the leaders and deputy leaders of the various political groups on the council were informed of the proposal for the chief executive to retire.'
