Delivering care closer to home could provide better services for patients and save taxpayers around £3.4bn a year, according to a new report from the CBI.

Published on 14 June, the study makes recommendations to help increase homecare levels, including local clinical commissioning groups – which replace primary care trusts next April – sharing best practice and establishing common metrics to help compare services.
