Points set to score

First-time buyers in Oxford have been given a boost, after housing minister, Yvette Cooper, named the city one of the country's 29 New Growth Points.

It means 5,692 homes will be built in the city over the next 10 years to help first timers on to the property ladder, with £1.16m start-up government funding to support the programme.
