The decision to award former Derry City Council chief executive Sharon O'Connor a £275,000 severance package has sparked outrage on social media.

More than 3,500 people have signed up to a Facebook page protesting against the exit payment, which breaks down as a £165,000 redundancy payment based on 15 years of employment in local government and a pension plan of £110,758.
