Shared chief in line for pay rise

Worthing BC and Adur DC’s shared chief executive is expected to be awarded a £21,000 pay rise when councillors meet to discuss his salary today.

Worthing BC and Adur DC's shared chief executive is expected to be awarded a £21,000 pay rise when councillors meet to discuss his salary today.

The councils' joint senior staff committee will discuss a report, which recommends increasing the annual salary of Alex Bailey from £104,000 to £125,000. He joined the councils in April 2013 and the committee report said he was promised a review when he was first appointed.
