Data-sharing bans must end for whole place success

Westminster leader, Cllr Philippa Roe calls for Whitehall to lift data-sharing restrictions to support roll-out of whole place schemes.

Delegates attending the Local Government Association's 2012 conference today heard progress updates from each of the four whole place community budget pilots.

Schemes involving Cheshire West and Chester Council, Greater Manchester, Essex CC and the West London tri-borough partnership are seeking to address wide-ranging issues such as public service reform, economic growth and community involvement.
