The Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership has announced the appointment of Ben Still as its new chief executive, to replace the current executive director, Sylvia Yates, who will be retiring at the end of May.

Mr Still is the current director of strategy at the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (SYPTE), and will start work as the Sheffield chief executive in the middle of June. He became the director of strategy at the SYPTE in March 2009, and has been responsible for the development and delivery of the Sheffield City Region transport strategy.
