Troubled transport authority, Merseytravel, has been slammed in two new reports, which reveal shocking financial failures.
A peer review led by local chief executives found the authority's new waterfront HQ in Mann Island was running at a £4m annual deficit and the £85m move still appeared ‘unjustified'. And ex-chief executive at the authority, Neil Scales, was criticised for spending hundreds of thousands of pounds of solicitors' fees on work that was not properly tendered for.
