SIGOMA angered over loss of government grants

A group of councils has accused the Government of trying to downplay the impact of the latest local government finance settlement.

A group of councils has accused the Government of trying to downplay the impact of the latest local government finance settlement.

The Special Interest Group of Municipal Authorities (SIGOMA) said its members are facing a loss without ring-fenced grants of £167 per household, and not the £82 claimed by ministers last month.
