Liverpool City Council has refused to give details of payments made to the chief executive of its partnership with BT on leaving his post early.

Liverpool City Council has refused to give details of payments made to the chief executive of its partnership with BT on leaving his post early.

David McElhinney had been expected to remain in post until the winding up of Liverpool Direct, which had been forecast for September 2015, but his departure was brought forward as part of a deal that involves a pay-off worth at least £400,000.
