Ofsted's new framework for the inspection of children's services is ‘fair and secure' according to an independent review.

In a report published on 3 June, Professor Eileen Munro said there was widespread endorsement for the new single framework, which incorporates the four previously separate inspections of protection, care, adoption and fostering, alongside a review of local safeguarding children boards.
