Why single status is on their minds

The issue of single-status pay deals remains a thorny topic for many local authorities – and particularly in Scotland.

The Scottish Parliament's finance committee revealed earlier this year that just one local authority – South Lanarkshire Council – had concluded its single-status agreement, although others were presenting final proposals to workers.
