Inefficient council recruitment is costing hundreds of millions of pounds in lost productivity, according to a report.

A Freedom of Information request sent by Omni RMS has revealed local authorities took almost twice as long to hire staff than the UK average, with inefficiencies in employing workers costing more than £437m in 2014.
