The idea of inclusive growth has risen to the fore in recent months. It does what it says on the tin – economic growth that benefits all parts of society, including those who are most disadvantaged.
While the focus of the debate around inclusive growth has tended to be in areas outside the M25, nowhere is the inclusive growth agenda more salient than in the capital. Since recovering from the last recession, London's economy has created many jobs and this is expected to continue at a rate of around 45,000 jobs each year. The number of Jobseekers Allowance claimants is down to historically low levels.
