Two key events in the last week or so have moved me to reflect on how partnerships are being re-framed at pace because of the financial and policy context we are facing. Both of these events happened to be local to me in Coventry, but I am sure they will be representative of many, if not all places across the country.
The first was our annual Coventry Partnership Conference focussing on welfare reform. A bitter-sweet gathering in the sense that the evidence, including independent research from Sheffield Hallam University shows households across the city struggling as a result of housing benefit changes.
