Town hall bosses have pledged to play their part in reforming social care funding and support, following the publication of a new report by a leading group of MPs and peers.

A report by the joint committee on the Draft Care and Support Bill, which was published on 19 March, warns that the Government has not fully thought through all the implications of its social care reforms, which could leave councils open to a ‘deluge' of legal disputes.
