Social services to be assessed for end of life care

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) watchdog is to start assessing social service departments on the level of end-of-life care.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) watchdog is to start assessing social service departments on the level of end-of-life care.

It has today detailed a number of commitments to improve end of life care after it published a new report, which claimed some people were receiving poor services because commissioners and providers do not always understand their needs.
