The director of Ceredigion Council's social services is to head up Powy CC's social services department while a study is carried out to see if they could collaborate in the future.

Ceredigion backed a proposal for a feasibility study into collaboration between the two departments last week, paving the way for Parry Davies to take up the role of statutory director of social services and strategic director of care and wellbeing in Powys.
