Social worker role 'overlooked' in Bill

The College of Social Work has warned that the Government’s new Health and Social Care Bill does not recognise the important role that social work plays.

The College of Social Work has warned that the Government's new Health and Social Care Bill does not recognise the important role that social work plays.

The college wants the Bill to include the creation of a chief social worker, to help boost the profile of the profession, and a clear statement of the role and function of social work.
