Social worker groups shelve differences to create new college

The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) has settled differences with the College of Social Work (TCSW) and agreed to advance plans to establish a single new social work college by 2012.

The British Association of Social Workers (BASW) has settled differences with the College of Social Work (TCSW) and agreed to advance plans to establish a single new social work college by 2012.

Under the terms of a memorandum of understanding navigating key issues and a complex development process, both bodies have pledged to create a single College of Social Work to help the profession overcome key challenges, such as high caseloads and poor morale.
